Michele Oka Doner

In her decades-long artistic career, prominent artist Michele Oka Doner has created everything from public art to furniture and jewelry. To create the first twelve colossal figures seen in Wildwood Press’ catalog, Michele first collected plant material from her hometown of Miami Beach, Florida. She then arranged various organic materials on the press. As the pieces are inked and printed on paper made from the bark of a Mulberry tree, the entire work is an amalgam of natural fiber. In her most recent visit to Wildwood Press in 2019 she created another body of unique works.
